Abstract:
The NIH requires applicants to “consider sex as a biological variable (SABV) in the design and analysis of NIH-funded research involving animals and cells.” Yet, many investigators are unaware of a conceptual framework for approaching the study of sex differences, and of practical strategies to meet this requirement. This talk will consider these issues, relevant to animal research.
